Your first stumbling block for making a decision on may well be how to legally structure your new business. When you have your free initial meeting with Middlers, you will meet with your dedicated account manager who will always deal with you personally. During this initial meeting we will discuss and plan with you the future of your business and determine the best setup to meet your needs. Our advice is given in simple straight talk and our reports and guides are crystal clear and easy to follow. Ultimately the decision will be yours but we will guide you to a fully informed decision.
Another set of early decisions to make are which relevant tax registrations your business needs. These can range from payroll registrations and VAT registrations to corporation tax and self assessment tax return registrations. The decisions are not always as straight forward as they first appear, for example you may find it beneficial to voluntarily register for VAT even though you trade below the compulsory registration thresholds. As always your dedicated account manager will guide you through the process ensuring you have a sound understand of each tax, the pros, cons and necessity of each tax and ultimately which to register for.

Every single account manager and team member is fully certified so you can rest assured you have our technical help always at hand. We provide full training for free on our cloud based bookkeeping ensuring you get the best start. If you are not sure this is for you or don’t have the time while setting up your business (understandable!), then we also offer in-house bookkeeping to ensure your records are up to date without you needing to spend the time on it.
Don’t like the idea of cloud? Don’t worry, we still offer full support for traditional paper based bookkeeping, spreadsheets or whatever you feel most comfortable with. Your account manager will show you all the available solutions for your business type so you can make the most informed decision possible.
Accounts and Tax
The most basic reason a business typically partners with an accountant. Our end of year accounts process will leave you with a full understanding of how your business performed over the year, what the financial position is and what your relevant tax liabilities are. Of course this will not come as a shock to you as we pride ourselves on being real time accountants, feeding information back to you all year as you need it.
With authorised agent access to HMRC and authentication with Companies House (for limited companies), whatever your accounts and tax needs are at the year-end we will take care of it from start to finish.
When starting a new business it’s important to get off to the best possible start to maximise your chances of success. Raising finance for equipment purchase, property or even a small overdraft to ease the initial cashflow can be critical to ensuring your business succeeds its first years. Our business plans, cash flow projections, profit forecasting and executive analysis reports can ensure you walk into meetings at banks and finance providers with a sound understanding of your figures and full preparation of documents to have the best possible chance at securing that finance.
The above services can sound complicated and time consuming, they’re not! Your initial meeting typically takes around 1 hour and covers everything you need to get up and running.
